⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 — Megan
This place is great! I’m picky and I found the food to be fresh, flavorful, and good portion sizes. We got Szechuan tofu, Hunan shrimp, vegetable lo mein, and an egg roll and everything was wonderful. The shrimp were large and cooked perfectly. The entrees also came with a nice variety of vegetables instead of just broccoli like you get most places. We’ll definitely be back.

Our family loves New China! Food is always good, especially their orange chicken! They always attend to the special notes and asks that we have.

Dumplings were very good, entrees were average good. Prices were very good. Value for money seems fairly reasonable. Nothing to write home about, but pretty much what you would expect when in the mood for American Chinese takeout. Would go again.

Classic Northeast American Chinese Food. The food is good, the prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous. I don't understand all the bad reviews, its a Chinese takeout place, it doesn't need fancy decor. Ignore the complaints and give it a try. If you are looking for a sit down restaurant, this isn't it, but it's not trying to be. Because it doesn't look nice inside, people are assuming its dirty, its not. Its an open kitchen and all the food prep looks fine. Call ahead, pick up your food, and enjoy at home as intended with takeout.

Not sure what all the neg reviews are about? Its an express take out and shouldn't be expected to be compared to upper scaled dine in restaurants. It has the same quality as any buffet I've been to even though this is take out only. I ordered the General Tso lunch which came with a side of pork fried rice, egg drop soup and I ordered a second side an egg roll. Everything was exactly what I expected and very tasty. I think its pretty harsh with Covid already hurting restaurants to leave a poor review. In fact if I didn't like New China I just wouldn't return and would avoid leaving any comment at all. Cheers

Walked in to order and the food was ready within 10 minutes. I tried this place after a suggestion from a friend because the Chinese food in Charlottesville is not good. This was well worth the drive! Best Chinese food in the Albemarle area.
